During the week of 16-20 September 2019, the Université catholique of Louvain hosted the 9th Advanced Training Course on Land Remote Sensing with the focus on Agriculture. This course was dedicated to training the next generation of Earth Observation scientists and experts from agriculture and food security related agencies to exploit data from EO missions (e.g. the Copernicus Sentinels) for science and applications development in the domain of agriculture.
With 94 participants (73 post-graduate, PhD students, post-doctoral research scientists and 21 experts from national and international agencies) coming from 35 different countries, this course has been a real success. In addition to the ESA staff, 8 European professors and international experts have introduced the concepts and share their most recent experiences (program available here).
